June 17^th, 1885 – The Statue of Liberty arrived in New York City Harbor. A gift symbolizing friendship and hope between two nations, the gleaming bronze statue arrived from France on the ship Isère. June 19^th, 1910 – The very first Father’s Day was celebrated in Spokane, Washington.
