YOUR JANUARY BABY

YOUR JANUARY BABY

Happy January, mamas! If you’re expecting a little one this month, you’re in for a treat. January is known for being the month where creative and ambitious babies are born, including many famous and historical figures.

Important Dates for your 2022 January Baby:

  • Your baby will graduate high school in 2040, and if they attend college, they’ll get their diploma in 2044.

  • Brace yourself, mama. That means your little one will start kindergarten in 2027!

  • The first election your baby votes in will be 2040.

  • And their 21st birthday will be celebrated in 2043!

  • Finally, to compare your 2022 babies to events that have happened in your lifetime, think about this. Your 2022 January baby was born:

26 years after the first flip phone
The clamshell style Motorola StarTAC, hit the shelves in 1996. 60 million were sold! Did you own one?

    50 years after “American Pie”
Don McLean topped the charts with this historic song in 1972.
Fun fact: At 8 minutes and 42 seconds, this was the longest song to top Billboard’s Hot 100 chart until 2021. That record was broken by Taylor Swift with her 10-minute version of “All Too Well”. The pop star graciously acknowledged this accomplishment and sent a thank you to McLean with a flower arrangement.

100 years after the first shot of refined insulin
was used to treat type 1 diabetes in 1922. The shot was given to 14-year-old Leonard Thompson at Toronto General Hospital. The scientists behind the treatment later received the 1923 Nobel Peace Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Personality Traits of your January Baby:

          • January babies are known to be independent, high achievers seeking recognition in whatever they do. From taking their first steps to getting their first degree, your little one will be looking to you for that “Great job, kid!”. That reaffirming attention from their number one fan will help them build positive self-esteem. If they feel like their efforts aren’t being rewarded or like they’ve failed, they can be secretly sensitive while pretending it doesn’t bother them. Help your January baby relax and enjoy the fun side of life, too.
          • Speaking of excitement, your early-January baby is more likely to become a celebrity, according to a study done by the University of Connecticut. This has to do with their knack for creative problem solving and healthy self-worth. If your little one is drawn to the stage or is known for cracking jokes, nurture that creative side and see where it takes them!
          • Also, because your child is born at the start of their class year, they’ll be more developed compared to their peers with summer and autumn birthdays. This is especially an advantage in early childhood, where those extra months can give them an edge when trying out for a sports team, socializing with their peers, and comprehending schoolwork.
          • That strong sense of independence and drive for success, combined with an encouraging schooling experience, makes them more likely to pursue a career that requires extended education. Your January baby is more likely to become a doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional, according to a UK study by their National Office of Statistics.
          • But most importantly, your January baby is unique. Whether you’re about to raise the next big celebrity, a pediatrician, or perhaps a pastry chef, geologist, or teacher – only time will tell. The biggest advantage your January baby has is that you are their parent. Get ready to watch them shine!
