NANY’S MIAMI

NANY’S MIAMI

#MHROADTRIP
By Editor, Rebecca

You already read about our current Life & Color mama, Daniela Ramirez (otherwise known as Nany), and now it’s time to follow her along as she takes us to her favorite spots in Miami for a burst of color.

Ralph Pucci International - Wynwood

Visiting the iconic Wynwood Arts District should be at the top of your to-do list when visiting Miami, especially when you’re on the hunt for a colorful & cool photo opp. Nany loves the Ralph Pucci International outpost – a luxury furniture, lighting & mannequin company. But not just any old mannequin – these collections include collaborations with designers, illustrators, and supermodels. This quirky showroom isn’t one to miss – everything from the walls to the coffee tables to the chairs will give you inspiration (and Instagram photos) for weeks.

…with mural designs by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

Sure, the inside of Ralph Pucci International is a jaw-dropper, but don’t forget to spend some time outside – soaking up the sun and admiring the shapes & forms adorning the walls by artist Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. The murals created by Jean-Charles (titled Emotional Puzzle) are reminiscent of his signature cartoon & pop art style.

Nany loves what this district brings to Miami: “Wynwood really changed the core of the city with its unique, vibrant and colorful murals, delicious restaurants, cool art galleries & local stores.

Nabati Ice Cream – Wynwood

This ice cream spot makes its treats from scratch with plant based, gluten-free ingredients, that are free of artificial sugars. If that wasn’t reason enough to visit, this health-conscious hotspot is full of electric colors both inside and outside. The mural designs and splashes of saturated tones offer an eclectic background to pose with your ice cream – or to just eat it with a smile on your face.

Ocean Drive

For a taste of Miami’s classic Art Deco architecture & hotels, take a stroll – or, you know, a drive – down Ocean Drive. When asked about how Nany would describe Miami’s “local color,” this iconic street was the first thing that came to her mind: “I think of the classic and timeless feel of Ocean Drive with its pastel Art Deco buildings. I think of mint and baby pink that match the beautiful ocean and the blue sky.” Essentially, it’s the place to be. The boutique hotels will take you back in time, the palm trees will give your mood an instant boost, and everything about Ocean Drive is just oh-so Miami.
